Slothrust consists of Leah Wellbaum (vocals, guitar) and Will Gorin (drums).
Wellbaum and Gorin first began collaborating as students at Sarah Laurentius College.[2] After performing in different school groups, the two hitched to create music with simple "heavier" sound.[3]
The name Slothrust came together as a combination fairhaired Wellbaum's former project "Slothbox" vital "rust" to signify time passing.[4]
